[01] Do I have to dive the pre-booked dive package day by day ?
No, you can dive the fulldaytrips of the package whenever you want during your complete holidays.
[02] What happens if I don´t “use” a dive or dive day of my pre-booked package because I am sick (ear-problems or diarrhoea etc) ?
Even if you can´t dive one time or a complete day because you are sick, the package is still cheaper than if you had booked locally the same amount of dives. If it is a really severe desease or you can´t dive any longer we definitely will find a solution in a personal talk. Normally in this case we cancel the package and take the transferred money as a deposit.
[03] What happens if I pre – book a dive package, but have to cancel ?
In this case please write us a short email with your bank account details. If you cancelled the whole trip we will transfer the complete amount of the dive package back to you without charges (if you paid with Pay Pal we have to charge you 2 to 4%).
[04] Is it possible to book and pay the dive package when I am already in Hurghada ?
Sorry, this is not possible. When you are already in the center you can´t book a package at reduced price. Only the current local pricelist is valid in the center.
[05] Is it possible to start with a fullday trip if I have been diving with BWDR before and if I am an experienced diver ?
In most cases this will be possible. We will have a look into your logbook and decide together with you. So just book your dive package and we will charge you an extra of 16 € at the end of your holiday for the additional dive (e.g. if you booked a 9 ½ day divepackage, we will extend it to a 10 days package).
[06] Is it possible to divide a pre-booked fullday-trip into two halfday-trips ?
Not in general, apart from the following exception : You can change max. 2 fullday-trips from your pre-booked package into 4 halfday-trips. For this we will charge you 16,- € per changed fullday-trip.
[07] May I use my BWDR divecard together with a dive package ?
Sorry, not on the pre-booked dive package, but you can use it for maybe rental equipment or divedays you made more than in the package included.
[08] What is better for me – to use the divecard or should I pre-book ?
The cheaper version is pre-booking the package, because you get a discount up to 15% (depending on the size of the package). The divecard is more flexible, because you can decide during your holidays how many dives you like to do and so you pay only the dives you made with a 10% discount of the divecard.
[09] Why is there always a halfdaytrip in the package ?
Your first day of diving in these holidays should always be a halfdaytrip as a “back to the sea again” dive. It is good for you to have the chance of an easy and relaxed dive and to get used to everything again. And it gives us an idea of your diving experience being under water together. This helps us to make a good arrangement of the following divedays for you.
[10] Shared usage of a pre-booked dive package by parents with infants (exceptional case!).
There is the possibility to share a pre-booked dive package in case both parents are diving, with the following solutions:
1. Both parents join the boat trip and share the dive day (one dive each), so they can take turns caring for the child.
2. One parent stays with the child in the hotel and the other parent goes diving. The next day they swap.
[11] How old is the medical statement for diving allowed to be ?
The latest local regulations say that those who want to dive in the Red Sea have to fulfil the following conditions:
You have to have a valid dive certificate, a logbook and a medical statement not older than two years ( if you are aged 40 + it is valid for one year only). And you have to have a special insurance for diving accidents (e.g. DAN or AquaMed). Changes in your medical condition might require a current examination.
[12] What kind of valves do your tanks have ?
All tanks have a DIN-valve, but we also have adapters from INT to DIN.
[13] What do you I do with the dive-equipment in the center and on the boats ?
Because boxes are stiff and open on top, we decided to use divebags, which carry all the equipment, can be closed and are easier to stow away and are much “friendlier” to the diver´s toes.
[14] II would like to have the digital photos I made above and under water burnt on a CD to get the memory-chip empty again. Can you do that in the center ?
Yes of course – we got a computer with a burning-unit where we would like to burn the CDs for you.
[15] Is it possible to dive one of my prebooked dive days at the housereef ?
Yes, you can exchange one of your prebooked dive days into 3 housereef dives, they all have to be at the same day and also nightdives don’t count into this exception.
That means you are able to do 3 dives at the housereef instead of two dives from the boat.
[16] I did not complete my prebooked dive package, is it possible to do a nightdive instead and allocate the missed day with this?
Yes, this is possible - for example: you booked a 5 1/2 days dive package and only did 4 1/2 days, in this case we can allocate the night dive with the day you did not use.
[17] Is it possible to make a half day trip plus night dive instead of a normal full day trip?
Sure this is possible. We will charge you an additional fee of only 16,- €, if a full day trip from the pre-booked package is changed into a half day trip plus night dive.
